Romans 12 starts with the illustration of the body - which invites us to see each other in the body as important and necessary and worthy of honor ... Then Rom 12 says to outdo one another in showing honor. In order to honor and respect one another we have to see each other as the image bearers and followers of Christ. Every member of the body is to be held in the highest of esteem. What does it mean for Christians who: Are on the other side of the political divide Who are coming from a completely different understanding of culture Who raise their children in a way that is different from you Who … have all other sorts of differences ?? Honor one another - Romans 12:10 Wait for each other 1 Corinthians 11:33 Have equal concern for  1 Corinthians 12:25 Submit to  - Ephesians 5:21 In humility consider others better than yourself - Philippians 2:3 Humility is a great step towards honor. Bear with one another - Ephesians 4:1-6 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/roguetabletalks/message
