Arlette Varda (1928 - 2019) better known as Agnès was a French filmmaker making movies from her own perspective in a male dominated industry. Her background in photography, a natural affection for more experimental art, and a spontaneous passion to tell a story led her becoming one of the major voices of the Left Bank Cinema and earning her the title of The Grandmother of The New Wave. Aaron and Brad grab a baguette, strap on their chapeaus, and sip on their La Croix as they examine their own mortality in CLEO FROM 5 TO 7, learn the meaning of happiness in LE BONHEUR, punch Godard in FACES PLACES, and more!
