Overview Today on the podcast, I had the privilege of talking to Rev. Dr. Cynthia Davis, Mississippi River District Superintendent. Dr. Davis served as a nurse for 24 years and later as a nursing instructor. For almost half of her nursing career, she also served as a bi-vocational pastor. She is a lifelong learner and in 2005, she received her Doctor of Ministry degree with her dissertation focusing on “The Black Church and Public Health.” We talk about her sense of calling from the time she was a child, her work as a nurse and pastor and the relationship between faith, health and wholeness of the body, mind and spirit. Let’s listen!
