Luke 4:1-13. This is our third and final week exploring the "Temptation in the Wilderness" text. Philip Yancey once referred to it as the "Throw-down in the Desert." In this lesson, we explore how to resist temptation the way that Jesus did. Relying on sheer willpower doesn't seem to work very well, does it? I want to learn to immerse myself into a disciplined spiritual life like Jesus did so that we the tempter comes, the life of God flows out of me in response.
