We are in a state of national shock.  Change is at its peak.  If we want to lead the world through this crisis we must take our government seriously if we want other nations to do so.  There will be many curves to flatten, including the spiral upward of hate and division. When we flatten that curve, what will be left of the power of the people who suffered this crisis.   As if we were emerging from the wreckage of the Twin Towers, we bang pans outside our windows and applaud health workers, our first responders? How many health workers will be left when the next wave of the virus comes? The 1918 pandemic came in three waves, the mild attack in the spring and the deadliest attack in the fall with another in the winter. Our national heart beats to patriotism.  Perhaps we will find a different kind of patriotism in the next few years. Join the US World Report team this week as we as we explore our national Recovery from Tragedy.
