RAYDER REPORT: The Week That Was (March 9-13) Several major sporting events have been cancelled or postponed the world over – including Serie A, La Liga, European PGA, ATP Tour, MotoGP and more ¬– which has proved devastating to the global sports economy. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, however, gives his take on the pandemic and why he feels it’s important to heed all precautionary measures. Meanwhile, other events have gotten under way sans spectators and Bayer Leverkusen’s Erling Haaland reveals why he is not a fan of no fans. In our weekly wrap up we also touch on Champions League highlights, including commentary from Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp and Tottenham Hotspur’s José Mourinho. In rugby, we hear from Alun Wyn Jones regarding the ball-ache that is England prop Joe Marler and his concerns that World Rugby isn’t doing enough to monitor these types of transgressions. And what would a week of sports be without some local flavour? We include highlights from the Absa Premiership League, catch up with the Proteas and give you the lowdown on all things Super Rugby. For all this and more, tune in to this week’s edition of the Rayder Report.
