Our God is Sovereign! His name shall be made great among the nations. Malachi 1:11 “For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts” If God is Sovereign, then why not pray? When men work, men work. When men pray, God works! Ephesians 6:18-19 “praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,” II Thessalonians 3:1-2 “Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.” If God is sovereign, then why not Go? Rom. 10:14 “And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” Mathew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Only one life. Whether around the world, or across the street – we are all called to be witnesses for the Lord, AND we are all called to missions. You either gotta go, OR send, OR disobey! If God is sovereign, then why not give? We couldn’t do what we do if you didn’t do what you do. If God is sovereign, then why not go through the open door! We are church planting missionaries. Our goals are: Evangelism, Discipleship, Higher Training, and eventual ”Turnover.” AND YET…… God opened the doors for other ministries which compliment the church planting efforts. •Christian Elementary School •Medical Clinic If God is sovereign, then why not dream •of a nation turned to Christ •of many churches planted who give to Missions “Ahadiya Imani yaUmisionari” •of pastors who KNOW the Word of God If God is sovereign, then why not have fun along the way! •Youth ministry •Youth Camp •Sports emphasis •Higher Training – Bible Institute If God is sovereign, then why not you? •What part are you playing in worldwide evangelism / missions now? •Have you wrestled with the possibility that God is calling you to a foreign mission as a long term missionary? •What will you do differently this missions year? •Will you pray? Will you increase your financial offering, so others can go? •Will you go through the open door that God is presenting to you? •Would you consider a short term ministry trip with your church?
