We often overlook the importance of sleep when it comes to our health. Generally, we think lack of sleep leads only to feeling tired, and nothing more. We think, being unable to sleep is a consequence of stress or aging, and nothing less. Often times, poor sleep is a lot more complicated than that.When it comes to our health, sleep matters so much that primary care providers go out of their way to ask patients about their sleep patterns. Research has found that lack of quality sleep increases a person's risk factors for a number of diseases. AND lack of quality sleep can be caused by a number of health problems.
