DO YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN ONLY MAKE 10 GARMENTS BASED ON PURCHASED PATTERN? YOU NEED TO THINK AGAIN. This podcast is not legal advice. It is my opinion on copyright related things. There are many myths floating around on the topic of sewing pattern copyright. What can and cannot be done with the pattern you've purchased. There are many opinions on antique patterns and how you can use them. Many believe you aren't allowed to discuss how someones design was made. Here is my 2 cents on the matter, based on the information freely available to everyone to read. Pattern Copyright USA https://smallbusiness.chron.com/copyright-sewing-patterns-55833.html http://www.tabberone.com/Trademarks/CopyrightLaw/Patterns.shtml Pattern Copyright EU https://www.wipo.int/wipo_magazine/en/2008/01/article_0006.html Pattern Copyright UK https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/copyright-notice-knitting-and-sewing-patterns I would love to hear from you in the comments.
