He received his MA in Hebrew Letters and Rabbinical Ordination from the Central Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Brooklyn, NY & Yeshiva Gedola Rabbinical College of Greater Miami. He was trained in Structural Cognitive Modifiability and received his diploma from Haddasah-Wiso. In 2010, Rabbi Bernath was a finalist for the Jewish Community Hero Award. He has made 54 matches to date.In 2014, Rabbi Bernath gained a lot of media attention for creating the "Quebec Kippa" as a solution for Quebec's proposed Charter of Values.In 2016, Rabbi Bernath starred in Viceland's popular show Dead Set on Life.
