Count it ALL joy. Wow! This seems virtually impossible. A word that has been interchanged with count is the word consider. To consider it an opportunity for great joy is to think ahead or to look ahead. When there are tests and trials and heart wrenching struggles, there is room for God to move. Counting it all joy or considering it an opportunity for great joy is looking ahead to a better day. It's saying, “If I’m this low now, just think about how high God can elevate the circumstances of my life.” In the midst of our trials, we have the gift of looking ahead to the joy of watching God work it for good. We can watch Him settle a situation or reverse circumstances. We can watch Him wipe the slate clean. If He did it before, He can do it again.
