Very devastating news... NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns' mother, Jacqueline Towns, has died after a long battle with coronavirus. The Minnesota Timberwolves player announced last month his mom contracted the disease in mid-March and was put in a medically induced coma because of complications. But the team just released the statement saying "The Towns family is heartbroken by the untimely passing of Jacqueline Towns, due to complications as a result of COVID-19," Minnesota Timberwolves said in a statement. We are sending our prayers and love to Karl-Anthony and the entire family. Also in the episode ---NFL draft will be 100% virtual!NFL commissioner Roger Goodell just informed clubs in a memo that club facilities will remain closed and the league will conduct a “fully virtual” draft, with club personnel separately located in their homes."We have reviewed this matter in the past few days with both the Competition Committee and CEC," the memo said, "and this will confirm that Clubs will conduct their Draft operations remotely, with club personnel separately located in their homes." ---Plus,Vanessa Bryant mourns her husband, NBA legend Kobe on the 4-year anniversary of his retirement.“My husband worked his ass off for 20 years," Bryant said on Instagram. "Gave it his all. All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time."She also listed his accomplished and what he did since the retirement,"We had 2 more daughters, he won an Oscar, he opened Granity studios, he became a 5x best selling author and coached Gianna’s basketball team in that time.I wish I could back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless." Bryant wrote.Oh, also, Kanye West actually in his new interview with GQ magazine said that he is a legend just like Kobe."He was the basketball version of me, and I was the rap version of him, and that’s facts!" West said. But that’s kind of true, no? I mean, Kanye and Kobe were close friends actually: they trained together, starred in Nike commercials together and etc.Kanye said, "Everyone in our life is now a member of the Lakers on one of Kobe’s championship teams. The way that Kobe would say that we all have to come together and win this championship is the way I look at life now."He added, "We came up at the same time, together. And now it’s like, yeah, I might have had a reputation for screaming about things -but I’m not taking any mess for an answer now. We’re about to build a paradigm shift for humanity. We ain’t playing with ’em. We bringing home the trophies."They also both prioritized family and gave up their wild party years to focus on family. ---There is nothing more important in life than family and health, guys.So let’s take care of each other, let’s take care of people around us. Stay home.
