At Home with the Williamses is a home unlike any other, filled with the unique Christmas wishes of Robbie, Ayda and their family and friends. Where else could you eavesdrop on conversations about having Jason Orange fitted with a GPS for easy locating, or why it’s important to out-do Slash with your Christmas decorations? Or even why it just makes sense, if you’re Robbie Williams, to wrap a festive pie inside a Yorkshire pudding and autograph the whole thing with your name in balsamic vinegar? Each week, the family invites us into their home in the British countryside to share in their preparations for the festive season. In the first episode, we travel to Christmases past as Robbie, Ayda and Nana Gwen reminisce about hanging out with the Hestons in Hollywood and learn they all have differing opinions when it comes to the magic of the season. From there, Christmas food is on the agenda in episode two, as Robbie and his dad, Papa Pete are tasked with ordering in the festive fare. Episode three takes Robbie and Ayda on a wander as they work out how much is too much when it comes to decorating your country pile, and Christmas presents are in the hot seat for episode four, with Robbie even mulling over what he’d buy for Liam Gallagher, were he in the mood. Which leaves Christmas parties under the glitterball spotlight for episode five, and the all-important rundown of Christmas Day in all its glory for episode six. Guiding us through the window into Robbie’s world is the ever-festive Brian Blessed, showing the way through the labyrinth of Robbie’s mind and offering the all-important disclaimer that there is indeed a large degree of swearing when you are at home with the Williamses. But frankly this holiday season, where else would you rather be?
