This week Talina chats to Helena Traill, author of "100 Stories", a book compiled of 100 cancer stories.In this episode Helena opens up about her personal relationship with cancer, and the impact it has on the mental health of not only the person suffering, but friends and family also. The girls discuss the stigma and fear that often comes with talking about cancer, as well as understanding a little more about how "survivors" language used around cancer can be very triggering. Having both been impacted by epilepsy, Helena & Talina also get into the invisible illness conversation, and explore the relationship between health & design, and how we can use art and design to make these subjects less scary to talk about! In this episode we really want to make it OKAY to talk about cancer openly, as Helena shows so clearly in the book...Awareness=Research=Money=Cure!
