Today’s sermon starts our 2021 mission's emphasis week with a challenging message. The Moravians were the first to send lay people (rather than clergy) as missionaries, the first Protestant denomination to minister to slaves, and the first Protestant presence in many countries. “May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of His suffering” was a sentence that was the core and motivation of this mission's movement. It is inspiring to think about people that were so committed to Jesus that they were able to say goodbye to their families and to sell themselves into slavery. Nowadays we have all the resources we need to fulfill the great commission, but still, we do not have open hearts with a radical commitment to God. Take some time to listen to this amazing message and to discover how God wants you to have an open heart for His will.
