David A. F. Sweet is a longtime media executive and author who has written for MSNBC.com, The Wall Street Journal and managed the Pioneer Press and The True Northshore Weekend. He also wrote Lamar Hunt: The Gentle Giant Who Revolutionized Professional Sports, released in 2010. The book about football giant and founder of the Kansas City Chiefs and the AFL. The book explains how football was only one of the many interests in Hunts life. He helped form Major League Soccer, the modern pro tennis tour and the Chicago Bulls. On September 1, 2019 David released his latest book, Three Seconds in Munich: The Controversial 1972 Olympic Basketball Final, is riveting - and TRUE. It combines cold war tension, the 1972 Munich Olympics, raw human emotions and, of course, basketball. The book reveals a story that few of us know but is nothing less than remarkable and unbelievable at the same time. David is both candid and articulate in the telling of this true story. His research and dedication to this book are abundantly obvious.  Listen in to find out what occurred, at the Munich Olympics, involving our basketball team, in 1972.  It's well worth your listen. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/paul-j-burt/support
