Michael Perfetti is the Southwest Regional Director of the Steel ValleyAuthority/Strategic Early Warning Network for Layoff Aversion (SEWN). SEWNprovides cost free turnaround consulting services for manufacturing companieslocated in Pennsylvania. It is committed to sustaining the Commonwealth’smanufacturing base to ultimately avert shutdowns and layoffs. Michael isresponsible for covering 11 counties for SEWN, which has a total of 5 officesthat make its services available throughout Pennsylvania.This past year marked the group’s 35th Anniversary. It was born out of thecollapse of the steel industry in the mid-eighties, to provide support to the localcommunities and businesses in the supply chain that were most impacted.Since its inception, it has consulted with well over 1,200 manufacturing firmsand has saved over 30,000 manufacturing jobs.
