WHAT WOULD YOU TRUST?

Memory or Evidence: Which One Do You Trust? | WHAT WOULD YOU TRUST? — Episode 7

Fiction

We trust our memories because they feel like evidence. A conversation you remember. A moment you can replay. A detail you are certain happened exactly the way you see it. But what if your memory is wrong? What would you trust more — the memory inside your own mind, or the evidence that proves something different? Because memory is not a perfect recording of the past. Every time we remember something, our brain reconstructs it. It fills gaps. It changes details. It creates a version of events that feels real. And sometimes that version can be completely different from what actually happened. So what happens when your memories and the evidence disagree? Do you trust what you experienced? Do you trust what can be proven? Or do you trust the explanation that feels most believable? Because the hardest truths to accept are often not the ones we don't know... They are the ones that challenge what we already believe. And if you can't completely trust your own memories... what can you truly trust? WHAT WOULD YOU TRUST? is a series of short psychological thought experiments about memory, identity, consciousness, choice, and trust.
