Come with me on a spiritual journey and meet my good friend Bhakta Al. He is a practitioner of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, commonly referred to as Hare Krishna. I didn’t know a single thing about the faith before I met Al and I felt I needed to tread lightly as not to say anything ignorant or offensive. It turns out that Al is really down to earth and we had a great time chatting about the religion. Learn about how reincarnation is not necessarily a good thing, how uncomfortable underwear can keep you from being lustful, and why Krishnas wear robes, shave their heads (except for a ponytail) and put clay markings on their foreheads.
