I've heard the story a million times and have experienced it myself: a woman shares intolerable symptoms with a trusted friend or doctor and is met with this advice: these are the cards you've been dealt as a woman, it's something you'll have to just deal with. Unfortunately this advice that we often hear is the furthest thing from the truth. Most intolerable symptoms that women go through can be explained by an underlying cause - sometimes something as simple as hormone imbalance, and other times with a more complicated diagnosis like endometriosis. Yet, for some reason, few women are ever educated on what these diseases are.
