In part two of a series on the reign of God we examine why God is the Supreme Ruler as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Unlike earthly rulers who rise to power and fall either due to being voted out of office, by being overthrown by adversaries, or by his or her death, all eventually succumb. As Hebrews 13:8 states, “ He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” He is now and will always be King. Since we seem unable to govern ourselves in any meaningful or structured way, we are left with having to choose from among us people who will uphold the law of the land. Corruption and greed have made the decisions of men and women suspect at best. Paul states in Romans 3:19, “There is none righteous, no not one.” An examination of Biblical terms surrounding kings and kingdoms will be discussed. The terms are as follows: * KING * REALM * KINGDOM * SOVEREIGN
