This episode is an exploration of the craft of old house renovation, as told by an experienced builder and designer who has revived four old homes of his own- Dave Rademacher of Rademacher Revival. In this episode, you will discover……. - How to work with vintage fixtures. - How to make the new kitchens and bathrooms resonate with the feeling of the old house rather than look completely new - Navigating the occasional challenges of updating an older home. - How to respect the details, and the rewards of an old house renovation. About our guest Dave Rademacher is one half of the Rademacher Revival team, along with his wife Brittany. Together, they hold a Michigan builder’s license and have a Degree in Residential Design. They have bought and revived homes that had history and character so they could be a part of each other’s story for generations to come - an 1800’s School House, a 1927 English Tudor, an 1873 Colonial Revival and most recently a 1894 Italian Farmhouse.
