Once upon a time, there were two friends. Sam came from a family of bakers and Tom from a family of farmers. One day while returning from the market they met a banana salesman who offered them quite the deal on a batch of bananas. Sam wanted to buy the bananas to make banana nut bread. Tom wanted to buy the bananas to resell them. However, Sam had more money and insisted on buying all of the bananas, which made Tom angry. Tom called Sam greedy and selfish. For several weeks afterward, Tom would not talk to Sam. One day, while in the market, Tom saw a sign that said, Tom and Sam’s Banana Stand”. At the stand were fresh bananas and homemade banana bread. It was there that Tom realized his friend's true intention. The moral of the story is that sometimes what appears to be selfish is actually generosity in disguise.
