Sarah Swope is a 2021 graduate of DuBois Area High School. Sarah is currently serving as the 2020 Clearfield County Fair Queen. In this role she has volunteered extensively in our community at many different local events like helping with pumpkin painting at Octoberfest in DuBois. She helps in fundraising efforts for the Children’s Miracle Network and advocates for the Clearfield County Fair and the Pennsylvania Agriculture Industry. She was named a top five finalist at the Pennsylvania Fair Queen Competition in January. Sarah is also involved in our local 4H, serving as President of the Clearfield County 4H Teen Council as well as being a member of the Clearfield County Beef Club. She is an extremely active member and role model to younger 4H members. At the 2021 Clearfield County Fair, she will be showing her three lambs. All will be sold at the Fair’s Youth Livestock Auction and the proceeds of one will benefit the 4H and FFA scholarship fund as well as local charities. Sarah is a freshman at Penn State University where she is majoring in the Sciences. Each year, the Clearfield County Fair Queen raises a lamb, which is sold to benefit Children's Miracle Network and the 4H and FFA Scholarship Fund. My Lamb, named Curly, will be sold at the 4H and FFA Junior Livestock Sale at 9:30 am on August 7th at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds Livestock Arena.
