Episode 46 of the conversations between Dr. Yogita Pant and Dr. Anil Chawla discusses the events that took place when Khaandav forest was burned down by Agni dev. It was a terrible scene with thousands of animals, birds, creatures dying in the fire or getting killed by either Arjun or Krishn. Devraj Indr rushed with clouds and rained water on the fire. A fierce war broke out between Indr and Arjun. Indr tried all the weapons that he had, but failed. Other devtas, asurs etc. also joined to help Indr. Arjun defeated everyone forcing them to retreat. Eventually, Arjun emerged victorious and Agni dev could burn down Khaandav van without any interruptions. (Mahabharat/Aadiparv/Khaandavdaah Parv/Chapter 225-227).

Mahabharat and Valmiki Ramayan are the two fundamental foundation epics of Hinduism. Mahabharat teaches one about every aspect of life. The struggle in the epic is the clash between two different life-values. Dwaipaayan Krishn and Vaasudev Krishn put in relentless and continuous efforts to establish and strengthen the same fundamental values and ideals for which Ram fought the war against Raavan. By learning and understanding this story and by adopting the learnings into our behaviour we can make our life happy and rich.
