Karni Mata Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The idol of Goddess Karni Mata is installed in it. It is situated in Deshnoke, thirty kilometers south of Bikaner. Karni Mata was born in the Charan clan, this temple is also called the temple of rats. The sight of a white rat in the temple is considered auspicious. Karni Mata is also known as Bearded Dokri or Bearded Old Lady. Another famous temple is situated at Khurd near Besroli Railway Station.
