Mount Kailash is a mountain range located in Tibet. To its west and south are Manasarovar and Rakshastal lakes. Many important rivers originate from here – Brahmaputra, Indus, Sutlej etc. It is considered sacred in Hindu Sanatan Dharma: This pilgrimage is also called Astapada, Ganparvat and Rajatgiri. This is the pilgrimage site of the six thousand six hundred thirty eight meter (twenty one thousand seven hundred seventy eight feet) high snow covered peak of Kailash and Manasarovar adjacent to it. And this region is called Manaskhand. According to mythology, Lord Rishabhdev attained Nirvana here: Shri Bharateshwar Swami Mangleshwar Shri Rishabhdev Bhagwan's son Bharat conquered it at the time of Digvijay. Arjun had conquered this region during the Digvijay attempt of the Pandavas. In the Rajasuya Yagya of Yudhishthira, the king of this region had presented fine horses, gold, gems and black and white chamar made of yak tail. Apart from these, there are mentions of many other sages residing here: Good spirits reside: It is believed that a person who does good deeds gets a place in Mount Kailash after death. It is believed that good spirits reside here since ancient times. Besides, this place is also considered to be the center of unnatural powers: Sound of Damru and Om: If you go to the area of Kailash Mansarovar Lake, you will hear a continuous sound. If you listen carefully, the sound of Damru and Om will resonate in your ears. Till date no one has been able to know the source of this sound. Based on the research of scientists, it is also said that when the winds hit the mountains here and the snow melts, this sound is produced. Not only this, it has been said many times that a special kind of divine light has been seen in the sky above the mountain. ........
