We will continue our sermon series in the Gospel of Luke. We have arrived at the Parable of the Prodigal Son, in Luke 15:11-32. We are going to slow down and spend a month on this story. It is a parable of grace from start to finish, with 3 characters: a father, his older son, and his younger son. Its themes are timely for us as a church. It is good food for our hearts. It turns on a light for our souls. If we can see ourselves in this story, it will help us come to terms with our own hearts, and will help us enter into the very heart of God. This Sunday I will preach the first of four sermons on this parable, Part 1: "Running Away," from verses 11-13. Pastor John
