Computer Science Professor Dr. Laney Strange reads an excerpt from chapter 5 of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. Alcott envisioned her book as a means of escaping the constrictive life women of the era faced and knew only too well through the March sisters (Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy) and their experiences navigating the world independently. After hearing Professor Strange talk about her work with girls in STEM through Tufts’ Girls of Code, we wanted to find out more about her background. She’s a computer scientist learning how to navigate this male-dominated world. Produced by Shirley Wang, Jenna Fleischer, and Bobby Familiar
