Studying prophecy is like many other things. The more you do something, usually, the better you become at that. And the same is true with prophecy. The more you study prophecy, the better you are going to become, in discerning God's message his prophetic truth to his people. One of the things that people who study prophecy quickly learn is that prophecy, most prophecy in the Scripture is poetic. And therefore, to understand it, one must apply the laws of Hebrew poetry, to prophecy, in order to rightly understand what is being said. Now, there's another important aspect of prophecy. And that is that in prophecy, we see that things are repeated, in order for us to have a right understanding. For example, we are studying the prophecy of Isaiah, and we've come across that term, the suffering servant, and I've made mention that some will say that suffering servant is Israel, the Jewish people, and others will say it's Messiah.
