Anna Gudmundson from Sensate discusses the Sensate device, a wellness tool that uses bone conduction to deliver sub-audible frequencies to the sternum, combined with sound therapy to tone the vagus nerve and promote relaxation. Users experience it as an internal sound bath, providing an easy way to self-regulate the nervous system, especially when meditation is difficult. Sensate focuses on relaxing users rather than teaching relaxation techniques. Its effectiveness was demonstrated at CES, where nearly 400 sessions showed a surprising calming effect on first-time users.

Sensate improves sleep, biomarkers, and vagal nerve function by lowering heart rate, respiratory rate, and skin temperature while boosting theta brainwaves. Users feel relaxed quickly, managing stress and anxiety. Future plans include funding and R&D expansion. Sensate, inspired by co-founder Stefan Chmelik's healthcare work. Unlike AR/VR and other similar devices, it aims for users to self-regulate without the device, promoting stress relief and better sleep, which are vital for overall health and longevity.
