Many INFPs feel like a fraud when they can't be 100% authentic in every single social situation. But hiding your inner depth behind a mask isn't a sign of weakness or social fragility... it’s the mechanical reality of how your dominant Introverted Feeling (Fi) processes the world.
Because Introverted Feeling is personal, subjective, and internally calibrated, it was never built to be broadcasted to an entire room. Past experiences with weird reactions or blank stares teach INFPs early on that over-sharing can lead to misunderstandings and unnecessary conflict.
In this video, I talk about why you don't need to dump your entire soul onto everyone you meet, how to use the "faucet" metaphor to manage how much you share, and how to create genuine connections through faceted sharing and tactical empathy.
