The shopfront signs that buzz with bargains, offers and deals you might dream of consuming in a better life. The artificial lights that drone and the conversations simmering in the cafes, people with more purpose than you may ever have, with no-one or no place to be awake for in the morning. It can breed jealousy and bitterness. Listen, as our narrator wanders around at dawn, a tour guide with sharpened teeth as she contemplates these exhausted streets and more terrible things...
