How to Be Ready for the Return of Christ: What Jesus Actually Taught
What did Jesus say Christians should do while waiting for His return? His teaching is far more practical than most discussions of dates, prophecy charts, and current events.
Jesus repeatedly taught that His return will be unexpected. Yet His main instruction was not to calculate a timetable or withdraw from ordinary responsibilities. It was to stay awake, remain faithful, cultivate a real life with God, and practice mercy in the ordinary places of life.
This focus changes the question. Instead of asking only, “When will Jesus return?” the more searching question become, "Whatt kind of life will He find me living today?”
