So, You Wanna Be An Artist?

Arts

In this weeks episode, I am joined by Phil Griffin who, after beginings in dance moved into film-making and created with the likes of Prince, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Britney Spears, Jan Fabre, Mikhail Baryshnikov and so many more. Not being satisfied with the creator-client dichotomy he moved into Fine Arts & Photography and was again met with frustration at the democracy of creation. He sits to chat with me and for whatever reason it was deemed necessary for us to try our hardest to articulate each's own interpretation of God (whatever that means). The conversation isn't as focused on Art as perhaps one might hope, but we cannot speak about Art/Creation/Beauty without the belief in some kind of Ideal from which it all stems. So this conversation is two people who have dedicated their varying lengths of life to the puzzle of communicating that awareness of The Supreme that we both so obviously feel. I hope you enjoy.
