In their opening episode, Jacqui and Trish take some of their closest friends to a new Chicago favorite, Honey Butter Fried Chicken. There’s no hiding the ball on this episode – everyone loves this place, and for good reason. HBFC makes good food, and make it consistently. You can scope out the restaurant’s website here, and you can check out the pictures of the food we ordered at the Chicago Dish Instagram page here. Located in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood, HBFC showed up in 2013 and the Chicago food scene immediately sat up and took notice of this restaurant who decided to convince Chicagoans that they’d been eating fried chicken wrong. Well, needless to say, they succeeded and the restaurant’s fans have been slathering whipped honey butter on their fried chicken ever since.
