Hinduism (Sanskrit: हिन्दु धर्म) is a religion (or, way of life) with majority followers in India, Nepal and Mauritius. Apart from this, Suriname, Fiji etc. It is considered to be the oldest religion in the world. It is also called 'Vedic Sanatan Varnashram Dharma' which means that its origin is even before the origin of human beings. Scholars consider Hindu religion to be a mixture of various cultures and traditions of India which has no founder. This religion encompasses many different worship methods, beliefs, sects and philosophies. Based on the number of followers, it is the third largest religion in the world. On the basis of numbers, most of its worshipers are in India and on the basis of percentage, they are in Nepal. Although many gods and goddesses are worshiped in it, it is actually a monotheistic religion. It is also called Sanatan Dharma or Vedic Dharma.
