Returning friend of SallyTalk is Stacy Dymalski - Stand-up comic, award-winning speaker, and writer, she's performed at The Comedy Store, The Improv, The Ice House, and countless other comedy clubs across the country. Branded as The Memoir Midwife in Hollywood, Stacy is a professional story-developer who helps everyone from film studio executives to retirees find, write, and share their stories in the form of books and movies. She even gave a TED Talk entitled "Prison: A Startling Path to Creativity" in which she details how she mentored author David C. Taylor to write his book "Jacumba Connection" while he was in federal prison for conspiracy. She also performed in the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival with her solo show "The Other Side of the Razor Ribbon," and in the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival with her one-hour comedy show "A Bit Much," both of which won the Producer's Encore Award. "A Bit Much" also made Better Lemons' "Best Shows of 2019" list.Stacy has also written several books, the most popular being "The Memoir Midwife: Nine Steps to Self-Publishing Your Book" and the hilarious "Confessions of a Band Geek Mom" (a funny account of balancing motherhood with a career) which was a bestseller under humor books on Amazon.Today's episode we talk about comedy, her movie in production, her pilot, her course at Pasadena College and cooking bacon!!
