In this edition of Solutions News, we ask, "How can we support our communities in the face of hunger?" Our guest today is Erik Talkin, CEO of the Santa Barbara County Foodbank. For the past ten years, Erik’s goal has been to help the Foodbank become an organization that moves people from hunger to nutritional self-sufficiency and health – both for themselves and for their communities. In addition to his work at the Food Bank, Erik currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Food Banks and the National Advisory Council of Feeding America. We are talking about hunger, public assistance, and food Insecurity in a land of plenty… All essential topics as we face an end to most of the direct support that was originally included in the CARES act.
