No, it wasn't the season that Texas A&M wanted, but they'll take the Dec.31 slot. The Aggies are headed back to Duvall County for a shot against Wake Forest in the Taxslayer Gator Bowl. A&M, who finished 8-4, might be the favorite over the 10-3 Demon Deacons. This will mark the second time that the Aggies have face Wake Forest. Last time in 2017, Wake Forest's John Wolford won the day. The four-year starter who battled through two difficult sack-filled 3-9 seasons in 2015 and 2016, threw for 400 yards and four touchdowns to help Wake Forest beat Texas A&M 55-52 in the Belk Bowl. The Aggies last played in the Gator Bowl back in 2018 against NC State. That season, Kellen Mond threw for 140 yards and a touchdown, while running back Trayveon Williams rushed for 236 yards and three TDs on the way to a 52-13 win.
