Game, Set and Match Podcast

Miscellaneous

Radio Sport tennis commentator Matt Brown is joined by Tennis New Zealand High Performance Manager Simon Rea to present the Game Set and Match tennis Podcast. This week we review the Miami Open where Roger Federer reigned supreme in the men's draw and young Australian Ash Barty captured the biggest title of her career in the women's draw. But the story of the tournament was the run of Canadian teenagers Denis Shapovalov and Felix-Augier Aliassime to the men's semi finals, a week after Bianca Andreescu won the Indian Wells title. Matt catches up with Tennis NZ Performance coach Christophe Lambert who coached Andreescu when he worked at Tennis Canada. Lambert talks about the reason for their unprecedented success and how Tennis New Zealand can learn from it to hopefully produce similar success stories in the future.
