The search for the next James Bond is heating up, with names like Callum Turner and Anthony Boyle leading the speculation. Villeneuve, busy finishing Dune: Part Three, won’t start casting in earnest until late 2026, making a mid-to-late 2026 announcement most likely. Amazon and MGM want a fresh face—an unknown British actor in his late 20s or early 30s who embodies the dark, physical, and dangerous Bond from Ian Fleming’s novels. Turner, Taylor-Johnson, Boyle, and others are in the mix, but history shows the best Bonds were relative unknowns. Who will take the iconic 007 mantle remains the ultimate mystery.
