Mayank Gupta and Lalit Jhawar are the visionary minds behind Food Square, a 25,000 sq. ft. gourmet destination transforming how India sources, experiences, and celebrates food.

Their journey began at the grassroots—selling organic produce on the streets of Dadar—which led to the founding of LandCraft Agro, a pioneering, large-scale aquaponic farm in Kolhapur focused on sustainable, non-GMO agriculture. When the pandemic disrupted their export plans, they swiftly pivoted to become key suppliers to India’s top grocery chains, hotels, and restaurants.


Mayank, an IIT-Bombay and LSE alumnus, brings deep expertise in agri-tech and policy as Co-Chairman at MACCIA. Lalit, with a dual honors degree from Kingston University and further studies at LSE, marries his love for cooking with cutting-edge farming innovation.

Together, they’re redefining India’s food systems from farm to shelf through premium ingredients, experiential retail, and a bold commitment to sustainability.
