This week I talk with Katie Temple. This is Katie's first year teaching and she teaches 5th grade. Katie discusses all the learning curves she has encountered throughout her first year in the classroom. She talks about what to do the first day of school, classroom management, working with parents, how to ask for help from veteran teachers, who to go to when you are struggling, building relationships with students, and several situations that student teaching doesn't prepare you for.
