0:00 - Logical Fallacy: Appeal to Authority; Drink of the Day: A Manhattan made with Bunahabhain Scotch (aka. a Rob Roy) 2:28 - Meat Segment: On the Meat Segment today, I take a deep dive into an interview with Chris Harman on the "Theology on Air" podcast, of which I have been a guest and a producer. Chris describes himself as a Christian, universalist, exvangelical (meaning he says he used to be an "evangelical" but left evangelicalism, aka. "deconstructed" and then "reconstructed" his current form of "Christianity.") I go through various portions of his interview on TOA to give my thoughts. 52:12 - Twitface (NEW SEGMENT!): Michael Gungor tweeted something this week that runs the word "Christ" through a meat grinder, then goes through its pockets as it lies bleeding on the ground, robbing it of all semblance of meaning. 55:43 - 3 Favorite News Stories (More or Less): The first news story involves Kraft's limited edition mac-and-cheese flavored ice cream. The second news story this week deals with a man who woke up a year ago having lost 20 years worth of memories. Third, a double-whammy story deals with Simone Biles dropping out of the olympics but I speculate as to the actual reason for the withdrawal. 1:04:23 - Old Man Joe: This week on Old Man Joe, two clips back to back. One is the new "Laural or Yanny" clip. What did he say? The other is 20 straight seconds of Joe's mouth moving without a sentence in sight. 1:06:06 - Covid Minute: The new CDC mask mandates devoid of reason still have some people unwilling to go against it. Also, the USA today accidentally reported something true about Covid and so quickly deleted it. 1:13:59 - Hymn Hype: On Hymn Hype this week we take a look at the life of Katherine Hankey, a daughter of a prominent evangelical, who wrote two particularly famous hymns.
