How far would you go to write? In the United States, the constitution provides certain fundamental guarantees, including the freedom of speech. However, in some countries, speaking openly about your life or your disdain for politicians could get you killed. You may have heard about reporters showing up dead who showed open hostility towards the government in countries such as Russia or China. But what about the writers who don't get killed but still want to have an outlet? Is there anywhere for them to go and if so, where? One place is the City of Asylum. City of Asylum has multiple locations. One is in Pittsburgh, and I'm speaking with the Executive Director.
