Vincent's lackluster parenting abilities may have stemmed from a number of factors, including Cassie's life away from home, Ledroit's personal life, his corrupt and bigoted workplace that demonstrates how little has changed in the last forty years regarding the NYPD, systemic racism, the AIDS epidemic, the homelessness crisis, and the role that politicians play in it. While most critics would probably characterize that as "too much, too hectic," what's impressive is that author Abi Morgan manages most of that weight with grace and a great sense of timing. All of those narratives and side missions have varying degrees of success, but none of them are poorly written, and some of them even develop and change rather skillfully in Eric Season 1 on Flixtor Movies Online.
