Thanks for tuning in everybody! Today I welcome Long Beach Long Island's own Joey Diamond to the Penalty Box. Joey is such an easy guy to root for. While not the biggest guy on the ice, he always played like a giant. If you've never seen him play, think of a style similar to Kevin "Killer" Kaminski. Joey worked his way up through the Long Island hockey scene to one one of the biggest college programs in the country to playing pro with several teams including the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Joey did something most Long Island kids could only dream of, signing a contract with the New York Islanders & seeing his last name on a Islanders jersey hanging in the locker room.
