Hello people welcome to the When In Yorkshire Podcast this is episode 32 I hope you are all well. Thanks very much for joining me. This episode features Andy Cairns of Northern Irish Punk rockers Therapy? For anyone unaware of their work, Therapy? Formed in the late 80’s and have been releasing records consistently for the past 30 years so if you haven’t heard of them or you lost touch at some point, there is plenty of music to catch up on. As we discuss, through various friends playing and covering their songs, I was aware of and knew many of their songs well before I actually knew who Therapy? Were and I think it’s fair to say, they have been an influence on my songwriting for as long as I’ve been playing music. It was great to chat to Andy about his musical past and plans for the future as well getting an insight into how the band has managed to keep going through the many changes in the music industry over the last 30 years. We met at the Brudenell Social Club In Leeds ahead of their gig there. I have recorded a fair few episodes there it’s a great venue and well worth checking out, Nathan and his team do an amazing job and have loads of amazing bands passing through - do check it out. To celebrate the 30 year anniversary, Therapy? Will be taking the ‘So Much For The 30 Year Plan’ tour across Europe in March and April of 2020 starting in Hamburg on 19th March and ending in London on 4th April so do check out their website and social media for dates and tickets links to both are https://www.facebook.com/Therapyofficial/ https://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk/ Also check out http://www.brudenellsocialclub.co.uk/
