This week's episode I talk with a long time friend and political activist, Sylvia Arthur. Sylvia was on the leading edge of the Title IX fight for equality in girls sports in schools, got me involved with the NAACP and the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition. I got her involved with the Green Party and we had the Lawrence County chapter of the Ohio Green Party operational for two years before she moved to North Carolina and got involved with them for a while. We talked a lot about a variety of issues ranging from the futility of public protests to effective communications and the lack of progressive voices in the media.
